The present invention relates to a wireless access system, and to methods for transmitting and receiving channel state information (csi) for supporting a 256 quadrature amplitude modulation (qam) modulation mode, and devices for supporting the same. The method by which a terminal transmits a channel quality indication (cqi) index for 256 qam in a wireless access system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, can comprise the steps of: measuring channel quality for one or more csi subframe aggregation; and transmitting a cqi index for the channel quality respectively measured for the one or more csi subframe aggregation according to a first cqi table or a second cqi table.
